About the Role
Job Description
The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing Envoy in production environments, focusing on L7 routing, filter chains, mTLS, rate limiting, and observability. The role includes developing security modules using Proxy-Wasm (Rust) and integrating OAuth2/OIDC for secure access flows.
Infrastructure Management
You will deploy and manage Kubernetes infrastructure both on-prem and in the cloud, applying DevOps/GitOps practices such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Ensuring security and handling incidents related to Linux and networking will also be key responsibilities.
Collaboration
Collaboration with the client-side team is essential to unify solutions at the client-gateway boundary. You will lead technical initiatives, assign tasks, review code, and develop team capabilities.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, networking, HA).
- Proficiency in at least one backend/system programming language (Go/Rust/C++/Java).
- Experience with Envoy in production environments.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC and PKI.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with service mesh and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with QUIC/HTTP-3 protocols.
- Japanese language skills.

Requirements
Kubernetes Management
Experience with deploying, scaling, and networking in Kubernetes environments.
Backend Programming
Proficiency in at least one backend/system programming language, preferably Go or Rust.
Envoy Experience
Experience operating Envoy in production, including routing and observability.
Security Knowledge
Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC and PKI for secure access.
Nice to Have
Experience with service mesh technologies and disaster recovery.
Understanding of QUIC and HTTP-3 protocols.
Ability to communicate in Japanese.
