Senior Rust Engineer – Web3 & Trading Infrastructure

About the Opportunity

We’re working with a fast-growing company building at the intersection of cryptocurrency, blockchain infrastructure, and digital asset trading. Its product ecosystem combines a self-custody crypto wallet, a digital asset exchange, and trading infrastructure, enabling users to manage, trade, and interact with digital assets across blockchain networks.

The team operates in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment where technical excellence, ownership, and execution matter. They’re looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to help build and scale core backend systems, including high-performance trading infrastructure and market-making capabilities.

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging systems in a rapidly evolving industry, with significant ownership over architecture, implementation, and production performance.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance backend systems using Rust.
• Develop core infrastructure supporting cryptocurrency trading, exchange functionality, and digital asset wallet services.
• Build and improve market-making systems and trading infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and performance.
• Take ownership of complex engineering projects from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, production issues, and architectural challenges across distributed systems.
• Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to develop scalable, resilient systems that support a growing user base and trading activity.
• Contribute to technical decisions involving system architecture, concurrency, data processing, and blockchain integrations.
• Stay current with developments in Rust, blockchain infrastructure, and the broader digital asset ecosystem.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, including experience building production-grade systems.
• Experience designing and developing high-performance, reliable, and scalable backend infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cryptocurrency, blockchain, digital asset trading, or other systems requiring high reliability and low-latency execution.
• Familiarity with Web3 concepts and blockchain protocols, particularly Solana. Experience with Ethereum is also valuable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges independently.
• A track record of taking ownership of critical systems and delivering solutions in fast-moving engineering environments.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
