As a Senior Embedded Rust Software Engineer, you will develop mission-critical cybersecurity devices while working with custom hardware. You will be part of a cross-functional team, focusing on creating advanced cybersecurity and encryption products.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 years relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, working with custom Hardware built in-house, for our Cyber group, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing mission critical NSA-certified Cybersecurity devices in a rapidly growing product line. You’ll be working at the cutting edge of Cybersecurity and high-speed data.
What You'll Do
- Develop production-quality software in Rust, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining reliable applications or services.
- Proficiency with Rust’s ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, error handling, and concurrency models to build safe, performant, and maintainable software.
- Experience designing and implementing systems-level, embedded, backend, networking, or performance-sensitive software using Rust.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and/or hardware-in-the-loop test coverage for Rust-based software.
- Work across disciplines to translate technical requirements into robust software solutions.
Who You Are
- Experience with related languages (for example, C/C++, Python) and modern software development practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software defects and contribute to sound software engineering practices.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Hypervisor Technology, Linux, UML, and Device drivers.

Requirements
Embedded Software Development
Experience developing production-quality software in Rust.
Real-Time Systems
Experience with real-time multi-threaded embedded software, preferably on Linux OS.
Automated Testing
Ability to develop and maintain automated test coverage for Rust-based software.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
Ability to work across disciplines to translate technical requirements into software solutions.
Nice to Have
Experience with hypervisor technology is a plus.
Familiarity with device drivers is beneficial.
