About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will design and implement cryptographic systems that enhance customer control over their data. You will work with Rust and distributed systems, owning significant features from design through deployment while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to security outcomes across AWS service teams.

- Design and implement cryptographic systems using Rust, formal verification, PKI, and distributed systems.

- Conduct code reviews, debug complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science
Requirements
Rust programming
Experience in designing and implementing systems using Rust.
Distributed systems
Experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications.
Code reviews
Ability to conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Object Oriented Design
Experience with Object Oriented Design principles.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with cryptographic systems and PKI.
Experience working with cloud technologies and services.
