About the Role
We are looking for a Quantitative Trading Engineer to build and maintain automated trading systems for the cryptocurrency derivatives market. You will work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and infrastructure engineers to improve quoting, execution, hedging, risk management, and overall trading system reliability.
This role focuses on turning trading ideas into robust production systems while continuously optimizing execution quality, system stability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated trading systems for cryptocurrency derivatives markets.
- Design and implement quoting, hedging, position management, and risk control logic.
- Optimize the end-to-end trading workflow, including order submission, cancellation, execution handling, and exception recovery.
- Process and manage real-time market data, order book updates, trade events, funding rates, and other trading-related data streams.
- Build and maintain monitoring tools for PnL, positions, risk exposure, latency, and exchange connectivity.
- Collaborate closely with traders and quantitative researchers to analyze trading performance and continuously improve system behavior.
- Maintain and enhance exchange connectivity to ensure reliable market data ingestion, order execution, and trade reporting.
- Investigate and resolve trading anomalies, system failures, position discrepancies, and risk-related issues.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Rust.
- Experience building automated trading systems, market making systems, quantitative trading platforms, or other electronic trading infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of electronic trading concepts, including order books, bid-ask spread, slippage, trading fees, order lifecycle, cancellations, executions, and position management.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, perpetual futures, funding mechanisms, leverage, and margin trading.
- Ability to write clean, reliable, and maintainable production code.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for production trading systems.
- Genuine interest in financial markets and automated trading, with a willingness to understand how trading strategies generate returns and where execution performance can be improved.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cryptocurrency market making, high-frequency trading (HFT), proprietary trading, or quantitative trading.
- Familiarity with exchange APIs such as Binance, OKX, Bybit, Deribit, Coinbase, or similar venues.
- Experience building or optimizing low-latency trading systems.
- Understanding of basis trading, statistical arbitrage, cross-exchange trading, hedging strategies, or real-time risk management.
- Experience with backtesting frameworks, trading simulators, market data analysis, or quantitative research tools.
Requirements
Rust programming
Strong programming skills in Rust are essential.
Automated trading systems
Experience building automated trading systems or electronic trading infrastructure is required.
Electronic trading concepts
A solid understanding of electronic trading concepts is necessary.
Cryptocurrency markets
Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets and trading mechanisms is important.
Production code
Ability to write clean, reliable, and maintainable production code is required.
Nice to Have
Experience with cryptocurrency market making or high-frequency trading is preferred.
Familiarity with exchange APIs such as Binance or Coinbase is a plus.
Experience building or optimizing low-latency trading systems is advantageous.
Experience with backtesting frameworks or quantitative research tools is beneficial.
