About the Role
The Trading Engineer role involves developing and optimizing a high-frequency trading platform, focusing on performance and low latency. You will collaborate with engineers and traders to enhance the platform's capabilities and ensure its reliability in processing large volumes of transactions.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining and scaling the backend of the trading platform;
- Building and optimizing high-throughput, low-latency software;
- Implementing new trading strategies together with traders;
- Integrating and connecting third-party APIs;
- Improving platform performance, stability and scalability;
- Providing technical and operational support to traders;
- Contributing to the technical architecture of the platform.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone with:
- 4+ years of experience in software development;
- At least 2 years of professional experience with Rust;
- Experience building high-throughput and low-latency applications;
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/UDP;
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Experience with CI/CD;
- MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset.
Bonus Points
Experience with concurrent programming, distributed systems, Linux, TypeScript/Node.js, system-level optimization or FIX protocol is a plus.
Requirements
Rust experience
At least 2 years of professional experience with Rust is required.
Software development
4+ years of experience in software development is necessary.
High-throughput applications
Experience building high-throughput and low-latency applications is essential.
Networking protocols
Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/UDP is required.
Nice to Have
Experience with concurrent programming is a plus.
Familiarity with distributed systems would be beneficial.
Experience with TypeScript/Node.js is advantageous.
