About the Role
As a Software Engineer focused on Rust, you will be part of a small, cross-functional team working on new development projects for a global technology and defense company in Stockholm. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, packaging, and deploying solutions while collaborating closely with other teams.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance applications primarily in Rust.
- Implement, test, and package new solutions.
- Work with containers and Kubernetes.
- Develop tests and contribute to automation and QA processes.
- Work on technical integrations and interfaces with other systems.
- Evaluate and document technical solutions and products.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of development and operational environments.
- Work with cloud-related issues and FinOps.
- Share technical expertise and knowledge within the team.
- Operate in an environment with high demands for security, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone with approximately 4-6 years of experience in system development and a strong interest in new technologies. Rust is the primary language we seek, but we are also open to candidates with experience in related languages such as Go, Java, C++, or C# who wish to further develop their skills in Rust.
Requirements
- Approximately 4-6 years of experience in system development.
- Experience with Rust or strong experience in related languages with a clear interest in Rust.
- Good foundation in application development.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with containers, such as Docker.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with a cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Good understanding of development, testing, and deployment of applications in cloud and container-based environments.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.
Bonus Points
- Practical experience with Rust.
- Experience with Go, Java, C++, or C#.
- Knowledge of WebAssembly and WebAssembly Component Model.
- Understanding of Linux and C-ABI.
- Experience with cryptography, such as SSL/TLS, SSH, or digital signing.
- Deeper experience with Kubernetes and container technology.
- YAML-based configuration.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- FOSS/open source experience.
- Test automation and QA experience.
- Experience in regulatory or security-critical environments.
