About the Role

Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency backend services in Rust.

Work on systems such as market data ingestion, streaming pipelines, order and portfolio services, and pricing or analytics engines.

Write safe, well-tested, maintainable code with a strong focus on correctness and observability.

Collaborate with product, data and platform teams to ship features end to end.

Take part in code reviews, architecture discussions and on-call rotation for services you own.

Help improve engineering practices, tooling and performance across the team.

3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Solid hands-on experience with Rust in production, or strong systems experience (C++, Go, etc.) with demonstrated Rust work.
Good understanding of ownership, lifetimes, traits and async Rust (Tokio or similar).
Experience building backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC or WebSocket).
Familiarity with relational and/or time-series databases (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, etc.).
Experience with messaging or streaming systems (Kafka, NATS, Redpanda or similar).
Comfort with Linux, Docker, CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.

Experience in fintech, trading, brokerage, payments or other regulated domains.
Knowledge of financial market concepts (equities, ETFs, order books, FIX protocol).
Low-latency or performance tuning experience (profiling, lock-free structures, SIMD).
Kubernetes, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience.
Open-source Rust contributions.

Salary: Up 50M.
Probation salary is 100% of official salary.
13th-month salary and performance review twice a year.

Requirements

Rust experience

Solid hands-on experience with Rust in production or strong systems experience.

Backend services

Experience building backend services and APIs such as REST, gRPC, or WebSocket.

Database familiarity

Familiarity with relational and/or time-series databases like PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB.

Messaging systems

Experience with messaging or streaming systems like Kafka or NATS.

Linux and Docker

Comfort with Linux, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.

Fintech experience

Experience in fintech, trading, brokerage, or payments.

Financial market knowledge

Knowledge of financial market concepts such as equities and order books.

Performance tuning

Experience with low-latency or performance tuning techniques.

Infrastructure as code

Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar tools.

Open-source contributions

Contributions to open-source Rust projects.
