About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer - Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining the core infrastructure of an AI platform. This role is key to building foundational features that empower developers and support machine learning workflows. The position ensures platform stability and reliability through expertise in platform engineering, production support, and modern technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop foundational components and frameworks for the AI platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create platform solutions that facilitate application development.
• Stay current with design patterns and technologies to attract developers to the platform.
• Work with machine learning engineers to build infrastructure supporting ML workflows.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot performance and scalability issues.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship or Green Card due to government contract requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in software and platform engineering with large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience building platform infrastructure and backend systems for multiple teams.
• Proficiency in Rust for designing and developing high-performance systems.
• Expertise in database architecture, distributed databases, storage, indexing, and data modeling.
• Experience designing systems supporting AI and machine learning workloads.
• Familiarity with workflow engines, execution runtimes, and AI orchestration frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in start-up or 0 to 1 product development environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

$170,000—$230,000 USD
