About the Role

As a Senior Rust Software Engineer at Azkait, you will leverage your extensive experience in system architecture and Rust programming to develop high-performance applications. You will work with advanced Rust features and contribute to the design and implementation of APIs and system integrations.

What You'll Do

Utilize your expertise in Rust, including borrow checker and lifetimes.
Develop gRPC contracts and REST APIs with a focus on observability.
Work with Linux systems and high-performance file systems.

Who You Are

You have 5+ years of experience in system architecture with expert knowledge in Rust.
You understand memory structures without GC and have experience with advanced async programming.

Bonus Points

Experience with Rust bindings for GStreamer.
Familiarity with CI pipelines in GitLab.

Compensation

Contractor scheme if outside of CDMX, 100% payroll + legal benefits if in CDMX.

Requirements

Expert Rust Knowledge

5+ years of experience in system architecture with expert knowledge in Rust.

Advanced Async Programming

Proficiency in advanced asynchronous programming using Tokio.

gRPC and REST APIs

Experience in creating gRPC contracts and REST APIs.

Linux Systems Experience

Solid experience with Linux systems and high-performance file systems.

Nice to Have

GStreamer Bindings

Experience with Rust bindings for GStreamer.

CI Pipelines

Familiarity with reproducible CI pipelines in GitLab.
