About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon Leo, you will design and develop embedded software for satellite systems, focusing on reliability and security. You will work with a team to solve complex engineering problems and enhance the SpaceSDK framework to support satellite operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software in Rust, C++, or other modern languages.
Write system applications for the various satellite systems and device interfaces like CAN.
Scale up SpaceSDK to support an increasing number of satellite components.
Develop monitoring and telemetry for satellite components.
Develop security features for satellite systems.
Collaborate with other software and hardware teams.
Troubleshoot and solve critical issues on satellites orbiting in space.
Be a champion for the quality, reliability, and security of critical code.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually.
