About the Role
The Rust Engineer role involves designing and building high-throughput, low-latency backend services for a financial technology company. You will work on optimizing systems that handle massive volumes of real-time market data, focusing on performance bottlenecks and infrastructure improvements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and build high-throughput, low-latency backend services in Rust.
- Develop systems responsible for ingesting, processing, and distributing massive volumes of real-time market data.
- Optimize performance across memory allocation, concurrency, threading, and network I/O.
- Build and enhance distributed systems focused on reliability, scalability, and speed.
- Work closely with a small team of engineers on architecture and technical design decisions.
- Profile, benchmark, and tune systems to improve throughput and reduce latency.
- Contribute to the evolution of core infrastructure supporting mission-critical data platforms.
Who We're Looking For
- Strong professional experience with Rust in production environments.
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
- Strong systems programming background with experience optimizing performance-critical applications.
- Experience working with Linux-based systems.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and socket programming.
- Ability to analyze and improve system performance through profiling and benchmarking.
