About the Role
Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineer - III for our team, which focuses on creating storage solutions for the most data-intensive workloads. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, and shipping software using modern development tooling and practices.
Responsibilities
- Software design and development for new features and maintenance of existing features.
- Analysis of bug reports and development of software fixes on multiple platforms.
- Work with the Engineering manager and a geographically distributed team to understand product requirements and features.
- Work on Heavy execution, design + delivery.
- Contribute to and validate product documentation.
- Assist with performance tuning of features for specific environments and use-cases.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.
- Software development experience in Linux environments with Rust, Bash scripting.
- Candidates currently working on C or C++ or Golang programming with strong system level experience and willing to work on RUST programming can also apply.
- Total experience of 7 to 15 years is required.
- Linux experience is preferred.
- Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and Github preferred.
- Prior experience working with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and/or distributed systems a bonus.
Requirements
Rust programming
Experience in software development using Rust in Linux environments.
Software design
Ability to design and develop new software features.
Bug analysis
Experience in analyzing bug reports and developing software fixes.
Team collaboration
Ability to work with a geographically distributed team.
Time management
Excellent skills in prioritizing and multitasking under deadlines.
Nice to Have
Experience in C, C++, or Golang programming is a plus.
Familiarity with Linux environments is preferred.
Prior experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems is a bonus.
