Software Engineer

The Role

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

Design, build, and maintain components of a security-first container operating system trusted by thousands of customers.

Write Rust and Go to ship systems software that runs on millions of hosts worldwide, including OS services, container runtime integrations, and update mechanisms.

Solve complex problems in Linux internals, security hardening, and performance at scale.

Build and improve CI/CD and release tooling for rapid OS delivery.

Contribute to and maintain open-source code on GitHub, engaging with the community.

Investigate and resolve complex systems issues across kernel, userspace, and orchestrator integrations.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed software applications.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
