About the Role
The Product Security Engineer - Team Lead will provide technical leadership in web and AI security, working closely with product teams to define strategies and build security tools. This role involves authoring code, conducting reviews, and improving security maturity across Meta's products and services.
Responsibilities
- Author code and conduct code reviews in: Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++ (or similar language).
- Influence and align the organization’s vision and strategy, while engaging our teams to develop and deliver specific, multi-year roadmaps, programs, and projects.
- Conceive, design, and develop scalable, reliable security products, systems and/or frameworks.
- Identify and prioritize areas of improvement to the security maturity across Meta.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security maturity work is being prioritized and addressed.
- Establish self as an owner of a particular security system with end-to-end understanding.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years work experience building and securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services.
- 8+ years work experience authoring code in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++ (or similar language).
- Experience fixing infrastructure security problems across broad corporate boundaries using influence and relationships.
- Experience in designing, analyzing, improving efficiency, scalability, and stability distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of the security domain, which might include security investigations, incident management, digital forensics, offensive security, vulnerability management, product security, and much more.
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact.
- Experience making contributions to the security or privacy community.

Requirements
Security Engineering Experience
10+ years of experience building and securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software.
Programming Skills
8+ years of coding experience in languages such as Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++.
Distributed Systems Knowledge
Experience in designing and improving the efficiency and scalability of distributed systems.
Security Maturity Improvement
Ability to identify and prioritize improvements in security maturity.
Nice to Have
Broad knowledge of responsible and ethical AI practices.
Experience making contributions to the security or privacy community.
