About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer will lead the architectural shift from Docker on Kubernetes to a serverless model, focusing on building and maintaining low latency backend services using Go and Rust. This role offers significant architectural influence and the opportunity to integrate AI models into the product suite.
What You'll Do
- Design, build and maintain low latency, high throughput backend services in GO/Golang.
- Work with an existing Rust codebase.
- Provide key architectural insight on serverless migration.
- Integrate cutting edge AI models into the product suite.
- Collaborate with a small team and report directly to the CTO.
Who You Are
- Production experience building with GO/Golang and/or Rust.
- Experience designing high throughput data and metrics pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of serverless technologies.
- Experience owning backend product engineering and platform tasks.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes architecture.
- Self-motivated with strong architectural judgement.
- Clear technical communication skills.
Compensation
£90,000-£110,000 + equity
Requirements
Go programming
Production experience building with GO/Golang is essential.
Rust experience
Experience working with Rust codebases is required.
Serverless technologies
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with serverless technologies is necessary.
Architectural insight
Ability to provide architectural insight on serverless migration is crucial.
Nice to Have
