About the Role
The Role
You'll join a small engineering team working on a technically challenging product where performance, reliability and low latency matter.
Rust is the current language of choice, but you don't need prior Rust experience. They're much more interested in finding outstanding engineers who are strong technically, think clearly and can pick up new technologies quickly.
You'll have a high level of autonomy and will be involved in building core systems across areas including:
- High-performance, low-latency systems
- Real-time sports data and analytics
- Trading and execution infrastructure
- Integrations with major US betting platforms
- In-game betting and real-time wagering products
- New product development and expansion into new geographies
- Building out new AI and modelling capabilities
There's a lot of greenfield work ahead, with the team already working against a clear 6-month roadmap and ambitious plans beyond that.
What They're Looking For
They're looking for the best engineers they can find, rather than hiring against a rigid checklist.
You could be working in Rust, C++, Java, Go, Python or another strong technical language. What matters is that you have:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building and owning production systems
- The ability to work through complex technical problems independently
- A genuine interest in building great products
- The curiosity to learn new technologies quickly
Experience with Rust, low-latency systems, trading, data or sports would be useful, but isn't essential.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a company while the engineering team is still small enough for individual engineers to have a huge amount of influence.
The business has been growing rapidly, has been doubling revenue and is already operating at significant scale, with millions of consumers interacting with its products and hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through the platform.
You'll be surrounded by an exceptionally strong engineering team, with people coming from some of the world's best technology companies and universities. They're now hiring aggressively as they build out the next stage of the team.
What you can expect:
- Competitive Salary
- Up to 20% bonus
- Significant technical autonomy
- Very high-calibre engineering team
- 5 days a week in their Marylebone office
- Lunch and dinner provided
- Regular team offsites, including trips around NFL games
- Tickets to major sporting events
- Visa sponsorship available
- The opportunity to work on genuinely high-scale, real-time systems
If you're an exceptional software engineer who wants to work alongside some of the strongest engineers in the market and build technology at the heart of the rapidly growing US sports betting industry, this is one worth exploring.
