About the Role
As a Rust Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing critical components of embedded information systems in a naval defense context. You will work on high-performance software architecture, ensure code quality, and mentor team members in Rust best practices.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the architecture of new high-performance software modules in Rust.
- Write robust, secure, and performant code for high-constrained environments (concurrency, real-time, embedded systems).
- Implement and maintain rigorous testing (unit, integration, fuzzing) and actively participate in code reviews.
- Mentor the team on Rust, disseminate best practices, and contribute to standardizing the use of the language within the group.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines specific to the Rust ecosystem (Cargo, Clippy, etc.).
Who You Are
- You have at least 3 to 5 years of significant software development experience, with demonstrated production experience in Rust.
- You possess solid foundations in systems programming (previous experience in C or C++ is a major asset) and master Linux environments.
- You understand the challenges of memory management, concurrency (multithreading, async/await), and cybersecurity.
- You are recognized for your analytical mindset, rigor, and ability to explain your technical choices. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team (architects, systems engineers, testers).
Requirements
Rust programming
You must have significant experience in software development with a focus on Rust.
Systems programming
Solid foundations in systems programming, with experience in C or C++ being a major asset.
Linux environments
Proficiency in working within Linux environments is required.
Memory management
Understanding of memory management and concurrency challenges is essential.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles is a plus.
Experience in mentoring and guiding team members is beneficial.
