About the role

AOX Trade is one of the fastest-growing electricity trading companies in the Baltics. We trade electricity in 20 countries and develop highly advanced, data-driven trading strategies and systems. We are looking for an experienced and motivated programmer who can solve complex technical problems, quickly learn new technologies, and help build innovative solutions for the automation of electricity trading processes.

What we expect from you:

At least 5 years of professional programming experience (Python, Java, C#, C/C++, Go, etc.).
Practical experience with Rust (at least 1 year of experience preferred).
Experience with strictly typed programming languages.
Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Understanding of Node.js, Nginx, and REST API development.
Experience in developing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL processes.
Understanding of machine learning solutions.
Strong analytical skills and interest in solving complex technical problems.
Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and collaborate in a team.
Willingness to be involved in product development from idea to implementation.

Full-stack development experience.
Experience working with large data volumes and automation processes.

Main responsibilities:

Develop and improve the company's internal systems.
Plan and implement new features on existing platforms.
Automate electricity trading processes.
Create and optimize data processing workflows.
Develop solutions for forecasting models and analytics systems.
Collaborate with traders, data analysts, and data scientists in the execution of technically complex projects.
Participate in architectural decision-making and product development.

Daily work

Daily work, depending on the project, may include working with these technologies: Rust / Go / Python / Svelte (experience with React, Vue, or Angular will also be useful) RabbitMQ / MongoDB / Docker and other modern technologies.

Requirements

Professional programming experience

At least 5 years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, C/C++, or Go.

Rust experience

Practical experience with Rust, ideally at least 1 year.

Database knowledge

Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

API development

Understanding of Node.js, Nginx, and REST API development.

ETL processes

Experience in developing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL processes.

Nice to Have

Full-stack development

Experience in full-stack development is considered an advantage.

Large data handling

Experience working with large data volumes and automation processes.

Interest in algorithms

Interest in algorithms, forecasting models, and data analysis.
