Software Engineer - Rust (KI)

About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Fortanix, you will be responsible for coding in Rust and designing, building, and maintaining the observability platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance and scalability of cloud security solutions.

What You'll Do

• Turn product requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans.
• Build and run backend microservices and REST APIs for our observability platform.
• Analyze and fix performance and scalability issues in distributed systems on confidential computing.
• Design and evolve database architecture for scalable, reliable data access.
• Drive high code quality through reviews and a strong focus on stability and security.

Who You Are

• Has 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Is proficient in building backend systems in Rust.
• Has strong backend experience with distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Understands observability concepts such as monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Has experience with database architecture, scaling, and optimization.
• Has worked with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Is familiar with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Communicates clearly and solves problems effectively.
