About the Role
About the Role
As a Founding Engineer at Colossus Technologies Group, you will play a crucial role in building foundational infrastructure for AI agents. This hands-on position involves designing and developing core components of a platform that integrates distributed systems, cloud networking, and security.
What You'll Work On
- Design and build core infrastructure
- Distributed control/data planes for managing networking, identity, and policy across cloud environments
- Layer 7 networking and policy enforcement for agent-to-agent and agent-to-service communication
- High-performance proxies, gateways, and traffic management infrastructure
- Service identity, authentication, authorization, and secure service-to-service communication
- Policy engines that determine how AI agents can communicate with services, tools, and other agents
- Multi-tenant networking and isolation architectures
- Kubernetes-native networking and control plane infrastructure
- Highly available, horizontally scalable distributed systems
- Observability and debugging infrastructure for complex distributed networking environments
- Cloud networking across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
This is a highly hands-on engineering position. You will be expected to architect systems at a high level while remaining close to the code and building critical components of the platform.
Requirements
Rust programming
Proficiency in Rust is essential for building the platform.
Go programming
Experience with Go is required for developing core infrastructure.
Distributed systems
Knowledge of distributed systems is necessary for managing networking and policies.
Cloud networking
Experience with cloud networking across AWS, GCP, or Azure is important.
Nice to Have
