About the Role
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design and deliver high-performance software for complex embedded systems, specifically for radar and satellite applications. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop software in C++ and Rust, ensuring integration with various subsystems to enhance weather intelligence capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Develop mission-critical software applications.
- Design, implement, and test embedded and user applications in C++ and Rust that support configuration, command, control, and interface functionality for SoC-based radar payload platforms.
- Design and implement software interfaces for payload and mission operations.
- Deliver reliable and maintainable embedded software solutions.
- Integrate application software with spacecraft and payload systems.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of experience developing embedded software in C/C++ and/or Rust.
- Strong experience developing software for embedded systems, including familiarity with embedded Linux and RTOS.
- Experience developing software for ARM/FPGA-based SoC platforms.
- Experience interfacing software with embedded systems and low-level interfaces.
- Experience debugging and diagnosing issues across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
Compensation

Requirements
Embedded Software Development
6+ years of experience developing embedded software in C/C++ and/or Rust.
Embedded Linux Experience
Familiarity with embedded Linux, such as Yocto Project, PetaLinux, or Buildroot.
SoC Platforms
Experience developing software for ARM/FPGA-based SoC platforms.
Low-Level Interface Knowledge
Experience interfacing software with embedded systems and communication buses.
Debugging Skills
Experience debugging and diagnosing issues across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
Experience in mission-critical applications such as automotive, medical, or aerospace.
