About the Role

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer who is passionate about crypto and DeFi, and has a deep understanding of micro-services architecture. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain backend services that support our crypto platform.

Your Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and micro-services.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate with DeFi protocols and other blockchain solutions.
Implement secure, efficient, and reliable APIs to power our crypto services.
Develop and deploy infrastructure on cloud environments to ensure scalability and performance.
Build and operate containerized services on Kubernetes, managing deployments, scaling, and reliability.
Design systems that safely handle high concurrency, ensuring data consistency and stability under heavy load.
Analyze and optimize system performance and stability.
Stay current with the latest developments in blockchain, DeFi, and backend technologies.

Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in backend development.
Strong knowledge of modern backend programming languages such as Typescript (must have), Rust (nice to have).
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
Strong understanding of concurrency management — handling concurrent requests, race conditions, distributed locking, async processing, and message queues.
Experience working with smart contracts and Ethereum-based / Solana-based applications.
Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.
Deep understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DeFi concepts.
Hands-on experience building APIs and integrating with third-party services.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Good to Have

Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar.
Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Experience with indexing solutions such as TheGraph or Subsquid.

Requirements

Backend development experience

5+ years of experience in backend development is required.

Typescript knowledge

Strong knowledge of modern backend programming languages such as Typescript is a must.

Kubernetes experience

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments is necessary.

Concurrency management

Strong understanding of concurrency management is essential.

Blockchain knowledge

Deep understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DeFi concepts is required.

Nice to Have

Database technologies

Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL or Redis is a plus.

Startup experience

Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is beneficial.

Indexing solutions

Experience with indexing solutions such as TheGraph or Subsquid is advantageous.
