About the Role
The Rust Systems Engineer will focus on building performance-critical infrastructure for a trading platform, primarily using Rust. This hands-on role requires strong systems engineering skills and an understanding of low-latency networking and high-throughput data paths.
What You'll Work On
- Build high-performance systems primarily in Rust
- Design highly concurrent and multithreaded applications
- Optimise CPU, memory and I/O performance
- Work on low-latency networking and high-throughput data paths
- Profile systems and identify performance bottlenecks
- Improve reliability and predictable latency across critical infrastructure
- Work closely with experienced engineers and trading teams on technically challenging problems
What We're Looking For
- Strong professional experience with Rust and C/C++
- Strong understanding of Linux and systems programming
- Experience with concurrency, networking and memory management
- Comfortable reasoning about CPU performance, cache behaviour and hardware/software interaction
- Strong computer science fundamentals
- Experience building performance-sensitive production systems
Requirements

Strong professional experience with Rust and C/C++ is essential.
Linux and systems programming
A strong understanding of Linux and systems programming is required.
Concurrency and networking
Experience with concurrency, networking, and memory management is necessary.

Nice to Have
