About the Role
The Rust Engineer will be responsible for building the backend infrastructure for a high-performance trading platform, focusing on real-time data handling and complex system coordination. This role requires strong production experience in Rust and a passion for trading and financial markets.
What You'll Do
- Work on risk & liquidation engines.
- Develop blockchain state machines for trading & settlement.
- Implement distributed coordination and consensus systems.
- Build live market data and WebSocket infrastructure.
- Create high-performance REST/WebSocket APIs.
Who You Are
- 2–4 years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong production Rust experience (C++ also relevant).
- Strong async programming skills; Tokio experience is a plus.
- Experience building real-time, high-throughput systems.
- Genuine interest in trading and financial markets.
- Experience with various database systems including relational, time-series, and key-value.
- Background in startup, fintech, crypto, HFT, or low-latency infrastructure.
Bonus Points
Experience with Docker and distributed systems.

Production Rust experience
Strong production experience in Rust is essential.
Async programming skills
Strong async programming skills, with Tokio experience being a plus.

Interest in trading
A genuine interest in trading and financial markets is important.
Nice to Have
Experience with C++ is also relevant.
