About the Role

As a Back-end / Fullstack Developer at Base Camp Connect, you will design and develop robust backend services while also having the opportunity to work on full-stack tasks. Your contributions will significantly impact the product's foundation, technical choices, and code quality.

You will contribute to building solid, reliable, and well-structured backend solutions with a focus on API performance, clarity of application logic, and evolution of architecture. As you will arrive early in the product's life, your work will have a real and lasting impact on its foundations, technical choices, development practices, and code quality.

The position is primarily focused on backend development, with an openness to full stack depending on your profile and the product's needs.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services in Rust, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Use PostgreSQL to model, query, and evolve product data
• Participate in API design and service flow
• Write clear, tested, secure, and maintainable code
• Take charge of features from design to production
• Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews
• Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, observability, security, and reliability
• Help the team maintain a healthy codebase as the product evolves

Who You Are

• You have about 5-10 years of relevant experience in backend development
• You hold a DEC or a university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field
• You have solid experience in backend development
• You master TypeScript or Node.js
• You have an interest in Rust or experience with this language
• You are comfortable with PostgreSQL and relational databases
• You value testing and code quality
• You are autonomous, collaborative, and able to explain your choices
• You want to have a real impact on a product and on ways of working
• You are bilingual/fluent in French and English.
