About the Role

We're building a production-grade centralized crypto exchange. You'll work across a TypeScript + Rust monorepo powering wallets, trading, ledger, and blockchain integrations.

What You'll Work On

JWT, 2FA (TOTP), WebAuthn, Google OAuth
Custodial multi-chain wallets (EVM, BTC, SOL, TRON), deposit/withdrawal processing
Double-entry accounting, balance consistency (gRPC + HTTP)
Order lifecycle, Kafka event flows, gRPC to matching engine
Rust-based, high-performance (Tokio, Tonic gRPC, Prometheus)
Escrow, disputes, BullMQ job queues
API gateway, notifications (Firebase/Twilio/SES), admin, helpdesk

Required Skills

2+ years backend experience in Node.js / TypeScript
PostgreSQL— transactions, isolation levels, query optimization (Prisma ORM)
Redis— caching, rate limiting
Kafka / AWS SQS— event-driven microservices, idempotency
Rust— ownership, async/await, Tokio, Tonic gRPC
Blockchain fundamentals — HD wallets (BIP-32/39/44), EVM (ethers.js), deposits/withdrawals
Security — JWT, OAuth2, 2FA, secure key management

Good to Have

Experience on a CEX, wallet platform, or fintech system
gRPC service-to-service experience
AWS (SQS, S3, SES), Docker, Turborepo
Prometheus / Pino / structured observability

Requirements

Node.js / TypeScript

2+ years backend experience in Node.js / TypeScript is required.

PostgreSQL

Experience with transactions, isolation levels, and query optimization using Prisma ORM.

Redis

Knowledge of caching and rate limiting with Redis.

Kafka / AWS SQS

Experience with event-driven microservices and idempotency.

Rust

Proficiency in Rust, including ownership, async/await, and using Tokio and Tonic gRPC.

Blockchain Fundamentals

Understanding of HD wallets and EVM, including deposits and withdrawals.

Nice to Have

CEX / Fintech Experience

Experience on a centralized exchange or wallet platform.

gRPC Experience

Familiarity with gRPC service-to-service communication.

AWS and Docker

Experience with AWS services and Docker.

Observability Tools

Knowledge of Prometheus, Pino, or structured observability.
