Role Description

The Senior Backend Engineer – Rust is a full-time, on-site role based in Kalyan Dombivli. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Rust, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance for eCommerce systems. Day-to-day tasks include implementing business logic, integrating with third-party services, optimizing databases and data flows, and ensuring secure, maintainable code. The role involves collaborating with front-end developers, product owners, and QA to deliver features end-to-end, participating in code reviews, and improving development practices and tooling. The engineer is also expected to help mentor other developers, contribute to architecture decisions, and support production systems as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including API design, microservices, and database integration.
• Solid Software Development experience with Rust, including build tooling, testing frameworks, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design principles where applicable, along with familiarity with other paradigms.
• Foundational Front-End Development understanding to collaborate effectively with UI engineers and ensure smooth integration.
• Advanced Programming skills, with experience in code quality practices, debugging, and secure coding standards.
• Experience with cloud or containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, major cloud providers) is beneficial.
• Background in eCommerce platforms, payment integrations, or high-traffic transactional systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Kalyan Dombivli, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and mentor peers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
