The Role
A technical, hands-on role where you will:
- Write production-grade Rust code to architect and scale open-source scientific data engines.
- Gather requirements from national scientific application leaders.
- Translate complex scientific domain needs into robust software features and core platform updates.
- Contribute publicly as an open-source committer across key data infrastructure libraries.
- Drive multi-phase technical roadmaps from initial deployment through long-term expansion.
The Essential Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen due to specific project deployment parameters.
- Demonstrated expertise in production-grade Rust systems programming.
- Exceptional communication skills with proven experience in technical requirements gathering.
- Track record of contributing to open-source codebases or shared technical software.

Compensation
$180,000 - $250,000
