Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Rust Developer at Fude Developments. The Rust Developer will design, implement, and maintain backend services and system components using Rust, focusing on performance, reliability, and security. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, reviewing peer code, optimizing existing services, and integrating APIs and data sources that power AI-driven applications, learning platforms, and smart management systems. The role also involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, participating in architecture discussions, and contributing to continuous improvement of development tooling and workflows. The Rust Developer will be expected to document solutions clearly, troubleshoot production issues, and proactively suggest enhancements to system performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Rust programming, including ownership, borrowing, and concurrency patterns.
• Experience building backend services or systems (e.g., microservices, APIs, data processing pipelines) with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices such as version control (Git), code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Comfort working with RESTful or GraphQL APIs, data formats like JSON, and integrating third-party services.
• Understanding of basic systems concepts such as memory management, networking, and multithreading.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and work autonomously on assigned tasks.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-powered applications, learning platforms, or management systems is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with other languages or ecosystems (e.g., TypeScript, Python, or mobile/Android development) is a plus.
