The Software Engineer in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Amazon will be responsible for developing software that operates on custom hardware for satellite manufacturing. This role involves engaging in all phases of software development, from requirements gathering to implementation and testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- Design and Implement System Architecture for Manufacturing Dev Test Lab
- Partner with device software, frontend, networking, and security engineering teams to build scalable lab infrastructure
- Scale production implementation to support global deployments to manufacturing and CM sites
A Day in the Life
This role is for a Software Development Engineer who will design and build launch support equipment and support LEO manufacturing operations. You will be building low-latency, highly scalable architecture that are critical to getting high quality internet service to customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

Requirements
C/C++/Rust programming
Experience in system level programming using C, C++, or Rust is essential.
Software development experience
A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience is required.
Design and architecture
At least 2 years of experience in design or architecture of systems is necessary.
Nice to Have
Experience with the complete software development life cycle is preferred.
A degree in computer science or a related field is advantageous.
