The Senior Rust Blockchain Engineer will be responsible for designing and building a new Layer 1 blockchain for trading tokenized real-world assets. This role involves working on a fully on-chain order book and custom consensus layer using Rust, focusing on performance optimization and system architecture.
What You'll Do
- Build the matching engine, order book, and exchange logic (order handling, risk, account/state management) in Rust.
- Work on protocol-level components, state transitions, consensus, validator interaction, and transaction pipelines.
- Optimize for low-latency, high-concurrency performance, with rigorous benchmarking and test coverage.
Who You Are
- 5+ years in systems programming, with 3+ years specifically in Rust.
- Hands-on experience building exchanges, trading platforms, or execution engines (centralized or DEX).
- A track record contributing to Rust-based L1 protocols (e.g. Solana, Cosmos SDK, Substrate).
