Role Description

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and optimize high performance trading and market making systems that operate at low latency and high reliability. In this full time remote role, the engineer will develop backend services, implement robust APIs, and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting digital asset liquidity operations. Day to day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing contributions from other engineers, and collaborating with quantitative researchers and traders to translate trading ideas into production ready software. The role also involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement in architecture, tooling, and development practices. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to technical decision making, mentor teammates, and help ensure the security, resilience, and observability of core platforms.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and systems design.
2+ years of experience building performance critical systems.
Proficiency in Programming and Object Oriented Programming (OOP) with experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., C++, Rust, Go, Java).
Hands on experience in Backend Web Development and Software Development, including APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Background in high performance, low latency systems, preferably in trading, market making, or other real time financial applications.
Familiarity with digital asset markets, exchanges, and blockchain concepts, or strong interest in learning this domain.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging systems, and cloud native infrastructure (containers, orchestration, monitoring).
Comfort with modern development workflows: version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and code review practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Computer Science Fundamentals

Performance Critical Systems

2+ years of experience building performance critical systems.

Programming Proficiency

Experience in one or more modern programming languages such as C++, Rust, Go, or Java.

Backend Development

Hands on experience in backend web development, including APIs and microservices.

Low Latency Systems

Background in high performance, low latency systems, preferably in trading or financial applications.

Nice to Have

Digital Asset Knowledge

Familiarity with digital asset markets, exchanges, and blockchain concepts.
