Software Engineer

About the Role

The Software Engineer at Longshot Systems will be responsible for developing and maintaining the trading platform, which integrates with various bookmakers and exchanges. This role requires someone who can architect solutions to meet performance and stability goals while contributing to the team's technical excellence.

What You'll Do

Join the team that owns and develops our trading platform, handling integrations with many bookmakers and exchanges worldwide. You will be at the heart of the team, integrating more trading venues, optimizing key parts of the platform, and making trading safer and faster.

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative or technical subject and at least 2 years of experience building mission-critical distributed systems. You are comfortable working in AWS and have a proven track record of delivering production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative or technical subject from a top university.
• 2+ years experience building mission critical distributed systems.
• Proven track record delivering and maintaining production systems in at least one systems language.
• Startup experience: shipping products in small, fast moving teams.
• Architecture & design: Able to reason about trade offs and produce clean, evolvable service boundaries.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Trading, market making or exchange experience.
