About The Role
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the CEO to develop, maintain, and expand the rollup stack offerings and customizations enabled by our leading Rollup-as-a-Service platform. You’ll create custom precompiles and whitelisted contract deployers that introduce entirely new or more efficient functionalities, and you’ll assist in broadening our support for emerging L2s. We value individuals who can rapidly gain a deep technical understanding, quickly create proof-of-concepts to validate novel approaches, and enjoy being self-directed in identifying and solving critical problems.
As a Software Engineer, Rollup Product You Should
- Have a strong background in distributed systems, cryptography, and network protocols.
- Have some experience hacking on various rollups, understand the underlying components, and have opinions about the trade-offs of those components and platforms.
- Have some experience with hacking on EVM node software.
- Have a deep understanding of the EVM and how external tooling integrates with it.
- Be familiar with multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Golang, Rust, and Solidity.
- Contribute to defining Conduit’s product strategy and roadmap with the rest of the team.

Requirements
Distributed Systems Knowledge
A strong background in distributed systems is essential.
Cryptography Experience
Experience in cryptography is required for this role.
EVM Understanding
A deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine is necessary.
Programming Languages
Familiarity with Golang, Rust, and Solidity is important.
Nice to Have
Experience hacking on various rollups is a plus.
Experience with EVM node software is beneficial.
