As a Backend Staff Engineer at Koinly, you will take ownership of the data platform that powers our crypto tax solutions, ensuring high performance and accuracy in processing complex financial data. This senior role requires a blend of engineering expertise and product ownership, where you will lead architectural decisions and maintain high-quality code in a remote-first environment.
What You'll Do
Mission: Own the distributed backend data engine end-to-end, guaranteeing precision, performance, and scale for complex crypto tax data.
Location: Remote - Strictly Europe (EU / UK timezones)
Employment: B2B Contract.
Compensation: USD $80k – $100k/y.
Responsibilities
- Focus on optimizing, refactoring, and elevating our backend architecture.
- Ensure deterministic execution, high availability, and financial-grade correctness.
- Work closely with product and engineering leads to evaluate ideas and propose architectural solutions.

Experience with TypeScript, RabbitMQ, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
