Software Engineer

About the Role

Payrate: $57/hr

Must be residing in USA

We are looking for a Software Engineer to take ownership of the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of our web infrastructure, APIs, and codebases.

You will be responsible for maintaining and extending an existing production platform while building new features and deploying updates.

Required Technical Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience building, deploying, and managing services in production environments. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred
• Cloudflare. Experience in DNS and proxy management
• Docker / Docker Compose or other container management technologies
• NGINX or other reverse proxy technologies
• Linux server administration

Database

• SurrealDB. Production experience strongly preferred. PostgreSQL, Neo4j, or other relational / graph database experience in production environments

Backend

• REST APIs and Microservices. Experience designing, deploying, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining in development
• Rust / Typescript. Production experience required

Frontend

• SvelteKit or other full-stack Javascript frameworks.
• HTML5 and TailwindCSS
• Mobile UI development

Monitoring & Operations

• Grafana Stack. Experience in production with Grafana, Loki, and custom integrations.
• Durable Execution Environments. Experience running long-lasting processes in production.

Other

• CI / CD Pipelines. Experience with Git, Git workflows, container registries, and staging.
• Email Management. Experience with email sending at scale in production.
• Agile. Experience with Agile software (i.e. Jira)
• Wireguard. Experience with creating and managing Wireguard VPNs, or other similar technologies.

AI Based Development

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new features across the full application stack.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot production services.
• Build reliable, secure, and performant backend services.
• Develop modern, responsive mobile-fire full-stack applications.
• Optimize application performance and reliability.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in architectural decisions and technical leadership.

Additional Experience

Experience with any of the following is considered a plus:

• DevSecOps with emphasis on security best practices
• Working on distributed and embedded systems
• API design and version management
• UI / UX with mobile development experience
• Corporate software engineering experience
• Agile development experience
