About The Role
We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer to enhance capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious government & commercial customers. The Software Engineer I will be developing & testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure & operational support for cross-domain products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, working in a cohesive team environment, willing to grow & learn using many software development & operational tools to test, debug & support software for secure Linux desktop environments, IT operations/enterprise management, IP networking/routing and remote/virtual desktop deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.
- Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
- Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.
- Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.
- Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.
Qualifications And Experience
- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent.
- Experience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc).
- Basic understanding of private and public keys and or certificates.
- Experience with version control technologies such as Git.
- Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS).
- Agile or Scrum development experience.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or OpenCode.
- Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, RDP, Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View.
Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: $74,100.00-107,300.00 USD. The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
