About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Rust Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining the core of our coaching platform, ensuring seamless performance across Android and iOS devices. You will take ownership of the Rust codebase, from system architecture to implementation, and work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and end-users to deliver innovative features. Your expertise will help expand our backend infrastructure on Google Cloud, supporting real-time AI-powered coaching features that are tested directly on the ski slopes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a product that combines advanced biomechanics, artificial intelligence, and sensor technology to redefine sports coaching experiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering with proven experience in developing scalable, high-performance applications. A deep understanding of Rust is essential, with additional experience in Go, C++, or similar languages being highly desirable. Candidates should have demonstrated success in maintaining production-grade codebases and deploying solutions in cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform. A passion for sports, especially skiing, is a plus, as is experience working in small, agile teams or startups. Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and a desire to innovate and learn continuously are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Rust codebase, including architecture design, development, and optimization to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Maintain and scale our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud, ensuring robust and secure backend services.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and end-users to develop and refine real-time coaching features powered by AI and sensor data.
• Implement features that deliver impactful coaching experiences, conducting field tests on ski slopes to validate functionality and performance.
• Stay informed about industry trends, advances in Rust and related technologies, and incorporate best practices into development workflows.
• Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of code quality and maintainability.
