As a Backend Rust Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while working on high-throughput data ingestion and processing pipelines. You will collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to tackle complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Rust.
- Build and optimise high-throughput data ingestion and processing pipelines.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and low-latency processing capabilities.
- Develop secure APIs and integrations with enterprise platforms.
- Contribute to cloud microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams on complex technical challenges.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Rust (essential).
- Experience building distributed, high-throughput systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, ELK, Spark, Flink, Redis, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud environments, and microservices.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
- Cybersecurity, SIEM, or data platform experience is advantageous.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international engineering environment.

No Japanese language skills required.

Rust proficiency

Backend development experience
