Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Ghost AI, you will be responsible for building and scaling backend systems that support over 1 billion AI requests monthly. You will work on critical infrastructure that ensures security, reliability, and performance for enterprise AI workloads.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and scale backend systems supporting 1B+ monthly AI requests
• Design and develop guardrails that improve security, reliability and compliance
• Enhance observability across distributed systems using modern monitoring tooling
• Build high-performance services in Python and/or Rust
• Work directly with engineering teams at major enterprise customers to solve complex technical challenges
• Help shape the future architecture of one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure platforms

What They're Looking For

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience
• Recent experience at a reputable high growth startup
• Strong Python experience (Rust is a bonus)
• Experience building distributed systems or developer infrastructure
• A degree from a top 50 US school in CS or related field as required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical customers
