Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer (C++) role is with a leading FinTech firm that is looking for experienced engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and building highly performant applications.
What You'll Do
- Build and optimise infrastructure capable of processing billions of data points every second.
- Develop low-level, high-performance systems using modern C++ in latency-sensitive environments.
- Help design and build a proprietary high-performance database from the ground up.
- Contribute to research-focused projects involving functional programming concepts and technologies such as Rust, Erlang, and internally developed languages inspired by OCaml.
- Enhance infrastructure that powers machine learning workflows and supports cutting-edge research in production.
Who You Are
- Strong commercial experience with modern C++.
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience developing software where performance, scalability, and reliability are business-critical.
Compensation
Up to £200k Base + Bonus

Technical degree
