About the Role
About the Role
As a Software Engineer specializing in Rust, you will be instrumental in transitioning performance-critical components of trading systems to Rust. You will collaborate closely with traders and researchers to write high-performance code and contribute to architectural decisions in a fast-paced trading environment.
What You'll Do
You join either the Pricing team or the Market Making team and help move performance-critical parts of the stack onto Rust. On Pricing, that means the algorithms that turn internal trader signals and external market data into accurate real-time prices. On Market Making, it means custom plugins for liquidity providers and market-making infrastructure that interface with the risk systems and trading strategies. You write clean, well-tested, high-performance code, shape how Rust lands across the codebase, contribute to architecture and performance decisions, and support containerised deployments on Kubernetes. You will still meet plenty of C++ along the way, since that is what the core runs on today, and you work closely with traders, researchers and other engineers.
Who You Are
6+ years, with strong Rust or strong C++ and a real appetite for Rust. A background where latency or performance mattered (trading experience not required). Low-latency, parallel or distributed systems experience. Comfortable in Linux and production environments. C++ exposure useful given the existing core; Python a plus. Fluent English, and in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam from within Europe.
What's in it for You
€120K OTE, with real upside beyond that. On top of that, 29 holidays, a pension scheme, and relocation support with visa sponsorship for candidates already based in Europe. Hybrid working, with three days a week in the Amsterdam office.
