Software Engineer I

About The Role

The Software Engineer I at Everfox will enhance the capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious customers. This role involves developing and testing new product features, software development tools, and operational support for cross-domain products in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.
• Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
• Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.
• Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.
• Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.

Qualifications And Experience

• BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent.
• Experience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc).
• Basic understanding of private and public keys and or certificates.
• Experience with version control technologies such as Git.
• Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS).
• Agile or Scrum development experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or OpenCode.
• Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
• Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, RDP, Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $74,100.00-107,300.00 USD. The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
