Meet the Team
Join our Backend Team to design and deliver the AI-driven backbone of Cisco Cloud Control. You’ll work across multiple stacks and domains to build integrations and features that power the next generation of Cisco’s global platform.
Your impact
As a Backend Engineer, You Will:
- Design and deliver both functional and non-functional backend features.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices.
- Drive sophisticated product integrations and AI-native solutions across Cisco’s portfolio.
- Collaborate with frontend and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services that support global enterprise users.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8-12 years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong experience with AWS and monitoring/observability tools (ELK, Splunk, Datadog).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with frontend technologies.
- Experience with Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust.
- Knowledge of AI tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
- Passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems.
- Experience mentoring or coaching other developers.

Requirements
Backend development experience
8-12 years of hands-on backend development experience is required.
AWS expertise
Strong experience with AWS and monitoring/observability tools is necessary.
CI/CD and DevOps
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is essential.
Communication skills
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
Collaborative mindset
A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset is important for thriving in a dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with frontend technologies is preferred.
Experience with Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust is a plus.
Knowledge of AI tools, frameworks, or methodologies is beneficial.
Experience mentoring or coaching other developers is advantageous.
