Senior Staff Software Engineer

We're Hiring: Staff Backend Engineer (Python / Go / Rust)

We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to lead our core product development, working directly with the technical founders to shape the technical vision, architecture, and engineering standards from the ground up.

Our core backend is a Python (FastAPI) monolith supported by Postgres and Redis on AWS, and we are open to breaking out performance-critical services into Rust and/or Go.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Core Development: Drive the development of our core product backend, serving a REST API that powers our iOS, Android, and Web frontends.
• Complex Integrations: Integrate with cryptocurrency wallets, banking service providers, auth systems, ledgers, and global payment rails.
• Scale FinTech Infrastructure: Handle real money at scale internationally, ensuring the application remains highly performant, reliable, and secure.
• Evolve into Leadership: As we scale, this high-impact role has the potential to evolve into a Backend or General Engineering Lead.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience building and shipping robust web applications in Python, Go, or Rust.
• Strong full-stack backend experience working with Postgres, Redis, and AWS.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively as a local candidate.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in Financial Technology (FinTech).
• A full-stack engineering skillset with the ability to flex across other parts of the stack when needed.
