Scope of Work & Experience
Vendor resource will serve as a technical lead and support key modernization initiatives across our Edge applications:
Rust Technical Leadership – Java to Rust Migration
Lead the design and execution of Java-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications, including:
- Secure Connect Gateway
- Policy Manager
- Data Center back-end services
Rust Technical Leadership – C/C++ to Rust Migration
Lead the design and execution of C/C++-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications, including:
- SSC (Secure Service Credentials)
Capability Building / Knowledge Transfer
Train and mentor Dell senior SMEs on advanced Rust concepts and best practices. Enable internal SMEs to assume the Rust Technical Lead role by the end of the engagement.
Requirements
Rust Technical Leadership
Experience leading technical projects involving Rust migrations.
Java to Rust Migration
Proven experience in migrating applications from Java to Rust.
C/C++ to Rust Migration
Experience in converting applications from C/C++ to Rust.
Mentorship Skills
Ability to train and mentor team members on Rust best practices.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Edge application architectures.
Experience with secure service credential management.
