About the Role

The Principal Software Engineer will join a leading hedge fund's engineering team, focusing on building high-performance, scalable, and reliable business-critical platforms. This role requires proven problem-solving skills and enterprise software engineering experience, with opportunities for relocation to Newcastle upon Tyne.

Work alongside some of the industry's strongest engineers, solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment.

Who You Are

Proven enterprise software engineering experience at Staff, Principal or Senior level.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C++, C#, Go, Python, Rust or similar).
Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking.
Minimum AAB at A Level (or international equivalent).
Minimum 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university (or international equivalent).

Requirements

Enterprise software experience

Proven enterprise software engineering experience at Staff, Principal or Senior level.

Programming proficiency

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, C#, Go, Python, or Rust.

Software fundamentals

Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking.

Academic qualifications

Minimum AAB at A Level (or international equivalent) and a minimum 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university.
