Webisoft is a premier development lab and venture studio specializing in cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking a senior Rust engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a strong systems-level developer who cares about performance, correctness, and clean architecture and lives in or around Montreal.
What You'll Do
- Strong experience in Rust programming, with a deep understanding of systems-level programming.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: API design, testing strategy, code review, and technical documentation.
- Experience with distributed systems, network protocols, and secure computing principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performance-oriented code.
- Knowledge of key-value stores, databases, and low-level system optimizations.
- Comfort working across the stack when needed — services, tooling, and integrations.
- Understanding of software development best practices such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and code documentation.
Who You Are
- Experience with cryptography or zero-knowledge proof systems (a very strong plus).
- Background in blockchain or decentralized protocols — consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, or ecosystems like Solana and Cosmos.
- Experience with async Rust (Tokio), WASM, or FFI boundaries.
- JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
- Bilingual English + French.
